As we step one foot into 2026, I find myself reflecting on the possibilities of forgiveness, love, and second chances. The past is behind us—its lessons learned, its challenges faced—but it doesn’t have to define the future. The beauty of the New Year is that it offers us a clean slate, a fresh opportunity to choose connection, restoration, and joy.

I also acknowledge that a few of my past relationships, especially those that were toxic, caused serious harm to loved ones—pain that I wish had never happened. If I could rewrite those chapters, I would. And while I cannot change the past, I can choose to move forward with humility, love, and a genuine desire to heal what has been broken.

Relationships can be complex, and sometimes life takes us down paths we don’t fully understand in the moment. But I choose to believe there’s always room to rebuild, to grow, and to make room for healing, especially with family.

This year, my prayer and hope is that we all take a step toward the love and peace we deserve. It’s never too late to repair what’s been broken, to forgive, or to extend a hand to someone you’ve missed. Time may pass, but the bonds of family and friendship are strong if we nurture them.

To my incredible wife, Melody, thank you for being my rock, my partner, and my greatest encourager. I’m endlessly grateful for you and the light you bring into my life. To those I hold close in my heart—always know how much you mean to me, even if life has created some distance.

This year, let’s make room for love, grace, and new opportunities. The past is over. Let’s live in the now, cherishing the moments and the people who matter most. We realize this most when they are gone. I’m hopeful that 2026 will be a year of healing, laughter, and the kind of love that makes everything worthwhile.
